Dear TYSP candidates:

The assessment of the 1st batch of Talented Young Scientist Program (TYSP) for 2019 has been completed by China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC). Please log in the TYSP System and check the estimation results. From the moment you are accepted, if you want to quit then you should not apply for TYSP in next 2 years.

Please contact your Host Institute as soon as possible in order to go through all the formalities which are necessary for coming to China. Do be sure to enter China before June 30, 2020, otherwise the Reception will be invalid.

Here are the relevant work as follows:

I. Enter China

Do be sure to enter China before June 30, 2020 and make corresponding preparations as follows:

1.1 Receive a letter of Working Invitation Issued by Host Institute and sign a Working Agreement with Host Institute.

1.2 Apply for work Permit in China, work visa (Z visa or R visa) and Valid Residence Permit in China.

1.3 Buy the Insurance, at least with medical insurance and personal accident insurance.

1.4 Prepare the Approval Materials listed below, which could assure you are working in China now , and then hand in all materials to Host Institute. The host Institute will send them to CSTEC with Formal Invoice. CSTEC will allocated funds in 30 working days if all Approval Materials are correct.

II. Work in China

2.1 Budget management

Budget are only used for accommodation fee, living allowance and insurance. (Pre-tax RMB ￥12,500 yuan per month).

2.2 Work management

According to the Working Agreement with Host Institute, all candidates should carry out research according to work plans and time table to ensure accomplish the job tasks.

2.3 Intermediate inspection

Intermediate inspection is needed. A mid-term summary should be submitted through the TYSP system by Host Institute. CSTEC decide whether supporting the program or not after evaluation.

2.4 Final summary

Host Institute have to submit summary materials through the TYSP system with Summary Report and Financial Statements, in 10 days after foreign experts leaving China.
