Henan University is a national £¢Double First-Class£¢ university with a long history, comprehensive academic disciplines, distinctive professional programs, and profound cultural heritage. The School of Computer and Information Engineering at Henan University was established in 1987, originating from the former Department of Computer Science. The school currently has 110 faculty and staff members, including 19 professors, 43 associate professors, and 82 faculty members with doctoral degrees. The teaching team includes 13 doctoral supervisors and 76 master's degree supervisors.
The school holds doctoral degree authorization in Software Engineering as a first-level discipline, operates a postdoctoral research station in Software Engineering, and offers three master's degree programs in first-level disciplines: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, and Cyberspace Security. It also grants professional master's degrees in Electronic Information (in Computer Technology and Big Data Technology and Engineering). Computer Science entered the global top 1£¥ of ESI rankings in 2023. Both Computer Science and Technology and Software Engineering have been approved as key first-level disciplines in Henan Province's latest round of designations.
The school offers four undergraduate programs: Computer Science and Technology, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Information Security, and Cryptography Science and Technology. Among these, Computer Science and Technology is a National First-Class Undergraduate Program, a provincial characteristic program, and has passed engineering education professional accreditation. Data Science and Big Data Technology, as well as Information Security, are both Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Programs.
The school operates three provincial-level scientific and technological innovation platforms: the Henan Key Laboratory of Big Data Analysis and Processing, the Henan Engineering Research Center for Spatial Information Processing, and the Henan Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Technology and Applications. It also hosts the Henan Outstanding Foreign Scientists Studio for New Generation Artificial Intelligence and Yellow River Cultural Heritage Protection and Utilization. |
| Responsibilities and description of the position £º |
Research on Machine Learning based on Foundation Models:
Conduct cutting-edge research in machine learning and foundation models, including feature extraction, and object recognition and related areas;
Apply for national-level and provincial-level research grants and funding;
Co-supervise doctoral and master's students in research projects;
Publish 2-3 papers annually in prestigious journals in the field. |
| Requirements for applicants£º |
Applicants should obtain a recommendation letter from one of the following: the science and technology administrative department or national science foundation of their home country, relevant international organizations or research institutions, the embassy or consulate of their home country in China, the embassy or consulate (mission) of China in their home country, or the overseas office of the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (hereinafter referred to as the personnel recommendation agency), and at the same time meet the following conditions:
1. Nationality of the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative and other developing countries;
2. Have a formal job in the above-mentioned countries, engaged in scientific research or science and technology policy research;
3. Have a doctoral degree or have more than 5 years of scientific research experience;
4. Have a high level of scientific research or scientific research potential;
5. Be no more than 45 years old (calculated from the date of application for the job position) and in good health;
6. Have good communication skills in English or Chinese;
7. Be able to work full-time in China during the application period;
8. Comply with Chinese laws, regulations and other relevant rules.
In addition to complying with the implementation guidelines of the International Young Investigator Program, the following conditions should also be met:
1. Be proficient in English conversation;
2. Have published at least 3 peer-reviewed journal or conference papers;
3. Be capable of independently conducting research projects. |
